The crossbow's parts are made out of composite laminate which is what makes them so durable even during extremely cold weather. One unique feature of this new line of Barnett crossbows is that has an adjustable butt pad on it which means it can be adjusted based on your position so it is as comfortable as possible, and makes hunting easier especially on longer trips.

The crossbow has a 4X32 scope which gives you the ability to see and make an accurate shot even if your target is up to 60 yards away. It comes with a rope cocking device, and a quick detach option. This means that you can get the quiver off of quickly and easily, and then reattach it when you are done with it. 

Accessories That Come With It

When you get your crossbow at the store, right out of the box it comes with several fun accessories that will make your hunting experience better right off of the bat. The crossbow automatically comes with a 4X32 scope, a rope cocking device, a quiver with three arrows in it that are 20 inches long each, you will get three field points, and a foot stirrup that makes your shots more accurate and steady.

The box also includes all the necessary screws that you need so that you can have a crank cocking device if you need it. Your bolts for your crossbow are nice, and they are expensive to replace. TO help make sure that you do not lose them, Barnett has made the bolts glow in the dark so that the de-docking bolts are not easy to lose or damage. 

What it is like to shoot with the Whitetail Hunter Crossbow

When it is put up against other crossbows that are also meant for mid-range targets, the Barnett Whitetail Hunter crossbow outshoots nearly all of them. This Barnett crossbow is the newest model from its new line so they have worked to make adjustments to make it the best one yet.

When you shoot the bow, the trigger is smooth and easy to pull so that you don't struggle, and the bolts fire accurately every single time. If you go hunting in good conditions and not on a day that is rainy, snowing, too cold, windy, etc., you will be surprisingly happy with how easy it is to shoot and how accurate your shots will be, especially if you are an experienced hunter.

You can easily find a comfortable position from which to shoot from thanks to the built-in butt pad, the composite stock, and the roomy foregrip. So sitting in wait for your target to get in the right position is not as uncomfortable as it may have once been, and you never have to worry about your fingers slipping or being in the wrong position when you take your shot.

The best arrows to get for this crossbow

The WHitetail Hunter Crossbow comes with 400 grains on the bolt, and this is where the 340 FPS comes from. If you use a bolt that weighs 380 grains, you could get up to 346 FPS. However, you may prefer a heavier setup which will require 425 grains and your bolt level will then go down to 333.

No matter which of these setups you choose, you will have about the exact same kinetic energy throughout. If you do not like the 20-inch arrows that the bow comes with, you can look into buying a carbon express piledriver crossbow bolt.
